The Place Where You Search the Border

[04/04/2011]

Only four from the twenty 200-year-old houses are constantly inhabitted in the village of Chukurite. Many years ago, the bordering net between Bulgaria and Greece has passed here. There is no border now. You can accidentally meet madam Kera, who has come from the city about nine years ago, and who lives without an electricity. Or aunt Mata, in whom house you enters through something like a dormer-window of a ceiling. If you are lucky, you will catch a glimpse of a lambkin, which the whole herd has busied to learn it to walk. The silence is so strong, that you catch the footsteps of the lady-bugs in the grass. Going up the road, you can swing on the biggest wooden craddle in Bulgaria, in the village of Gorno Yurutsi.
