An Icy Bath for Three Grooms in Perushtitza

Three grooms from Perushtitza threw themselves in the icy water of the river. They observed the traditional custom "Kapanki", which is unique of its nature on the whole Balkan Peninsula. Boris Krastenov jumped in the water first, after he poured a ritual copper with wine. He was followed by Georgi and Ivan and а mass of their friends. With the bathing in the river the tipsy bravemen prove their manliness. According to the legends, they will be healthy and will gift their brides with a strong offspring.
