Thunderbirds are Performing a Mirror in the Air above Grafa
[26/06/2011]
Losing the breath demonstrations gathered more than 2000 people at the airport in Graf Ignatievo. The world-famous sqadron of the American BBC performed an airshow there in honour to the coming 100 anniversary of the Bulgarian aviation. The "Thunderbirds", as they are known, made over 40 elements and figures from the aerial acrobatics. The two solo performers showed the complete potential of F-16 and did the so called "mirror", where Thunderbird N6 was flying rectilinearly, and Thunderbird N5 "sticked" upside-down under him. After that, two planes went off face to face and in the last moment they turned round and passed "on a knife distance" one from the other. The planes in the rhomb figure were flying only in one meter of distance one from the other. The raining in buckets wasn`t an obstacle for the fighter planes to continue till the end of the show.
